Goal 1: Expand the facility to meet the needs of the community

Objectives

1. Determine the most efficient configuration of current and expanded space
2. Determine an implementation plan for new library space
3. Build the new library

Goal 2: Expand programming

Objectives

1. Create a study space/area (young adult room)
2. Add special events "children's programming"
3. Increase programming with the schools
4. Initiate a speakers series on "cool topics"
5. Add business/lunchtime resources
6. Create a "hang out" space with wireless Internet
7. Build a play room for kids
8. Bring in more authors
9. Increase senior programming
10. Add programs for 20/30 somethings
11. Increase outreach programs to seniors and others
12. Start a moms' discussion group
13. Provide staff for program development efforts

Goal 3: Increase community awareness of the library and its resources

Objectives

1. Add signage
2. Increase government officials advocacy
3. Expand public relations efforts
4. Increase marketing to build awareness
5. Add business/lunchtime resources

Goal 4: Increase financial support

Objectives

1. Host signature events
2. Gain corporate sponsors
3. Consider development of an endowment and/or capital campaign
4. Explore fee-for-service opportunities
5. Cultivate donors/members
6. Grant writing
