COVID-19 Library Closure Statement

Dear Moon Library patrons,
Effective Saturday, March 14th, Moon Township Public Library will be closed thru March 29th.  This closure comes as part of a directive from the PA Office of Commonwealth Libraries in the effort to flatten the curve and halt the spread of COVID-19 both in our area and the state.
We are sad to close our doors to all of you, but we are excited to provide you with some new, innovative digital programs and resources during this time. Libraries have always been on the forefront of creative ways to keep the community informed, safe and happy and we plan to continue that tradition.
We know it is hard and frustrating to be without the materials you expected to get, but please do not forget that we have a multitude of online platforms for accessing eBooks, eAudiobooks, magazines, movies, music and more. Now is the time to explore your library from home!
We will do our best to help you fulfill holds once we are operational again and will be waiving all fines until April 5th.  Please do not return materials to our outside drop box as we will have limited staff in the building to collect it.
To end, libraries are intended to be places and advocates for all, so please remember that COVID-19 is a virus and as such it is not specific to one race, nationality, or ethnicity.  Treat each other with kindness, care, and compassion in this trying and scary time.
We hope to see you all soon and are looking forward to getting back to business.  Until then, please visit our Facebook pages and website for up-to-date information and fun digital adventures!
